New clothes shop set to open in North-east

Wilkies already has a store in Ballater

A new clothes shop is set to open in the North-east.

Wilkies will open their new shop in the old SSE premises on the High Street in Banchory.

It will be the firm’s 15th store having recently opened in Hamilton in November last year.

Karen Forret, managing director of Wilkies, said: “I love Royal Deeside and I am delighted to be opening our 15th store in Banchory, just over a year and a half since opening in Ballater.

“Banchory is a great town with some fantastic independent retailers and eateries and we hope to add even more value to the town’s offering for locals and visitors alike.

“We have so far seen a lot of excitement from the local ladies of Banchory and we do hope that they will love the selection of ladies fashion and footwear as much as our loyal customer base across Scotland.

“As a family-owned business it is important for us to become part of the local community so we look forward to meeting other local organisations.”

The store will open at 10am on Friday, February 16.
