Fans queue overnight to snap up panto tickets

A North-east panto has proved popular once again – with some fans queuing overnight for tickets.

Eager fans have snapped up briefs for Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs in Fraserburgh, with many shows sold out.

Run by the Fraserburgh Junior Arts Society (FJAS), the panto kicks off on Monday for a six-day run at Dalrymple Hall and Arts Centre.

Cast and volunteers have been working hard to get everything ready for the 12 shows.

Lynne McPherson, FJAS president, thanked everyone involved and said some of the shows had already sold out.

She said: “Tickets for our annual showcase went on sale on Saturday and our die-hard fans started queuing at 1am to snap up their favourite seats.

“Every year we are overwhelmed at the support we receive from the public and this year was no exception.

“This year’s show is one of my all-time favourites, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.

“This is the third time we have staged this panto and it is shaping up to be a magical production.”

“The majority of our shows have already sold out and the best availability we have is for our second shows early in the week. Please keep an eye on our FJAS Facebook for ticket updates and selling times.”

The shows take place at 6pm and 8.45pm Monday to Friday, plus 4pm and 7pm on Saturday, December 16.
