The family of a woman killed in a north-east house fire today paid tribute to the “loving mother and partner”.
Roseanne Ogilvie, 66, died as a result of a fire at a property in the Peterculter area yesterday.
Police, ambulance and fire crews were all called to the farmhouse near Anguston Road, near Peterculter, to deal with the blaze at 3.20pm.
More than 20 firefighters in four appliances battled the blaze for more than an hour, but the woman could not be saved. A man who was rescued from the property suffered minor injuries.
Her family said: “Roseanna was a loving mother and partner. We have been left devastated by this tragic incident and would ask that our privacy is respected at this very difficult time.”
Detective Inspector Sam Buchan said: “Our thoughts are with Roseanna’s family at this sad time. Our inquiries into this incident are ongoing in conjunction with the Scottish Fire & Rescue Service however we do not believe there to be any suspicious circumstances.
“A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal in due course.”
