The family of a North-east taxi driver today spoke of their devastation after losing their “much-loved dad”.
Robert Stevenson, of Portsoy, was last seen around 4pm on Thursday.
Police launched a search that was supported by HM Coastguard, the Police Scotland helicopter and police search teams.
The 65-year-old’s taxi, a blue Dacia Duser, was found on the B9031 near Pennan.
His family today released a statement through police saying: “The family of Robert is devastated with the outcome of what has been a very difficult few days.
“Robert was a devoted husband and much-loved dad and will be sorely missed.
“The family would like to thank everyone who has been involved in the search in any way and ask that their privacy be respected at this difficult time.”
