Watch: Emergency services called to fire in Aberdeen pub

Emergency services have been called to a fire at an Aberdeen pub.

Police officers and the fire service were notified of a blaze on the ground floor of the Castle Bar, at the Castlegate in Aberdeen at around 7.45am.

A Scottish Fire and Rescue Service spokeswoman said: “We got the call to the incident at 7.44am.

“Three pumps were in attendance.

“There was a fire within the ground floor.

“We used four breathing apparatus and one hose reel jet.”

A spokesman for the SFRS added that no one was evacuated from nearby flats as a result of the blaze.

A Police Scotland spokeswoman confirmed that officers attended the incident.

She said: “We were just there assisting the fire service.”

The spokeswoman added there was no one in the building.
