Emergency services were called to a large fire at a farmhouse near a village in Aberdeenshire.

The incident occurred at Auchenhove Farm near Lumphanan at about 8.15pm yesterday.
Six fire appliances were dispatched to the scene to tackle the blaze.

No one was injured in the incident.

Crews put out the blaze at about 10.30pm. Firefighters made the area safe and left the scene shortly after.

A Scottish Fire and Rescue Service spokesman said: “The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service was alerted at 8.14pm yesterday to reports of a dwelling fire at a farm near Banchory, Aberdeenshire.

“Operations control mobilised a number of resources to the scene, where firefighters tackled a large fire.

“There are no casualties.”
