SATURDAY night was more than alright for thousands of Elton John fans in the North-east.
Aberdeen Exhibition and Conference Centre’s specially built outdoor arena was jam-packed with fans who lapped up the Rocket Man’s first performance in Aberdeen for 11 years.
And Sir Elton had the crowd dancing in the aisles as he belted out hit after hit in a performance that left the crowd still wanting more.
Things really got moving in the second half with Elton paying a tribute to the North-east fans by playing Scotland The Brave.
The atmosphere was buzzing and the crowd really got going when Elton performed even more of his familiar classics including, I’m Still Standing, Saturday Night’s Alright (For Fighting), Rocket Man, I Guess That’s Why They Call It The Blues and Your Song.
It is 11 years since Elton last performed in Aberdeen and from the reception he got at the AECC he knows he’ll be welcome back again any time.
