EIGHT people have been charged in one day in a bid to crack down on antisocial driving.
Officers from the Torry community policing team in Aberdeen conducted an operation to promote road safety following concerns raised by the area’s community council.
Officers were deployed to the St Fittick’s Road area as well as the Walker Road area near the primary school with other patrols also being carried out throughout Torry.
The operation led to eight people being charged for offences such as speeding, not wearing a seatbelt and driving without an MOT. Of those charged, two were for speeding after being caught travelling at 47mph and 45mph in a 30mph zone.
