Eight motorists were charged as part of police crackdown on speeding.
Officers carried out the patrols on Monday and Tuesday in the Banff, Macduff and King Edward areas.
The focus was around King Edward Primary School where the speed limit is 20mph.
Five people were reported to the Procurator Fiscal and one ticket was issued with the maximum speed recorded of 40mph.
A number of drivers were also stopped and spoken to by officers.
Further speed checks were carried out in the Macduff area where two people were charged for travelling in excess of the 30mph speed limit – again reaching 45mph.
A local inquiry was carried out into a fail to stop, fail to report incident, which has been investigated and a report to the Procurator Fiscal will be submitted in due course.
