An image of children playing outside a bombed Aberdeen home has emerged today.
The photograph was taken some time during World War 2 and shows a badly damaged property on Cummings Park Road.
A number of kids can be seen playing outside the badly damaged property.

It was likely taken at some point between 1940 and 1943.
The Northfield and Middilefield areas were hit badly by German bombs at least twice during the war.
In early 1941 two high explosive devices exploded in the west of Northfield.
And on April 21, 1943, a number of bombs detonated in the Middlfield area.
These included two 50KG phosphorus bomb, two cluster bombs – one of which didn’t detonate, three 500KG bombs and a 250kg device.
