Drivers have been warned of an upcoming closure on a north-east road to allow for works to be carried out.
The B974 Cairn O’Mount road will be closed between the AA phone box north of Bridge of Dyce and the Clatterin’ Brig snow gate from Monday until Friday, for road and Spital Burn bridge repairs.
Traffic will be diverted during the works via the A957 Slug Road while resurfacing and drainage takes place.
The repair work to the bridge is being carried out to fix damage to the parapets caused by recent collisions.
Aberdeenshire Council’s head of roads, landscape and waste services Philip McKay, pictured, said: “I would encourage motorists to plan ahead for the extra journey time they may need and thank them advance for their patience.”
The road will be open weekend, and drivers are advised to take heed of roadworks signage warning of ramped sections and other matters.
