Drivers have been urged to use “caution” while they get used to the new A90 road layouts.
It comes as the new section of the Aberdeen bypass from Craibstone to Stonehaven is due to open tomorrow.
The new 20-mile stretch includes the A90 route and the A956 section between Cleanhill and Charleston.
Transport Scotland project manager Douglas Laird said: “We understand people are keen to use the AWPR as soon as possible but we have to remind people that this is a major piece of infrastructure which is opening to traffic.
“It is therefore imperative that they not only drive with more caution for their own safety but also consider the safety of other road users. There may be uncertainty among some drivers and they should be prepared to react appropriately.”
