A whisky company is heading back to Hollywood for the second time as official spirits sponsors of a major showbusiness awards bash.
Duncan Taylor Scotch Whisky, of Huntly, will be providing the guests at the Critics’ Choice Awards in Los Angeles with a variety of whisky, gin and rum cocktails to celebrate the night.
The event, which is in its 22nd year, will take place on Sunday when the best films and television shows throughout 2016 will be honoured. Recipients will include actors, directors, producers and cinematographers.
The ceremony will be hosted by the popular film and television actor and comedian TJ Miller.
Critically-acclaimed films such as Arrival, Fences and Hell or High Water are in contention for best film.
Celebrities up for the best actor award include Ryan Gosling, Tom Hanks and Andrew Garfield while the likes of Amy Adams and Natalie Portman are hoping to scoop the best actress accolade.
Moji Shand, pictured, CEO of Duncan Taylor Scotch Whisky, will be attending on the night.
She said: “To be the official spirits sponsor is a real feather in our cap and gives us the chance to showcase our award-winning brands to a global audience. We will also be presenting TJ Miller and Ryan Reynolds with special whisky gifts as part of our sponsorship. It’s an amazing night in Hollywood.”
