A wildlife charity has launched a north-east schools programme as part of its Dolphinwatch project.
RSPB will teach Aberdeen pupils about Scotland’s marine life, the threats they face and how to help protect them.
Funded by Scottish Power Foundation and the Heritage Lottery Fund, RSPB Scotland’s Dolphinwatch team is offering schools free classroom and on-site sessions all year round.
Bookings are now being taken for visits which will start next month.
Sadie Gorvett, Dolphinwatch community events officer who is running the schools programme, said: “This is a fantastic opportunity for local children to learn first-hand about the amazing bottlenose dolphins and other incredible marine life we can see right on our doorstep.”
She added: “I am excited to let children experience the wonder of these amazing animals.”
