An Aberdeen man has admitted making racist remarks towards a neighbour in a dispute over dog fouling.
Richard Smith, 25, appeared at Aberdeen Sheriff Court where he pled guilty to acting in a racially aggravated manner amounting to harassment by shouting, swearing and making racist remarks towards a woman.
Defence agent Tony Burgess said the incident involved his neighbour and an “issue with a dog fouling in the back garden”.
Sheriff Sukhwinder Gill told Smith, of Bedford Road, Aberdeen: “Given the nature of the charge and lengthy record with a number of convictions for analogous matters I’m going to call for reports.”
She deferred sentence until later this month.
