A disciplinary hearing for a North-east teacher accused of pushing a pupil and making inappropriate remarks has been postponed.
The General Teaching Council for Scotland (GTCS) was due to host a four-day fitness to teach impairment hearing, but it was called off due to a procedural matter.
A replacement date has not yet been fixed.
According to a GTCS report, the teacher was working at an Aberdeenshire school in January 2016 when the alleged incidents took place. The school and the teacher have not been named.
The teacher is accused of pushing an S4 pupil out of a classroom, punching the door afterwards, and shouting excessively towards a pupil, on January 7, 2016.
The member of staff was also accused of acting aggressively towards an S3 pupil in that they shouted at the pupil, causing them to feel intimidated, on January 22, 2016. On the same day, the teacher is alleged to have made inappropriate comments to female pupils.
A GTCS spokeswoman said: “The hearing, which was due to begin on March 12 and conclude on March 15 was postponed due to a procedural matter. A new date will be arranged and publicised.”
