Paramedics have been left disappointed after a plea to boost ambulance cover was ignored.
Mr Lochhead had been hopeful he could persuade Ms Howie to provide extra resources, but no such guarantee was given.
The SAS insists that “specialist paramedics” working in Elgin and a hospital ambulance liaison officer at the town’s Dr Gray’s Hospital lessened the burden on ambulance crews.
But one Moray paramedic, who asked to remain anonymous, dismissed the claims as “smoke and mirrors”.
“We are pretty downhearted, it appears that Moray just isn’t a priority.”
