A housing developer’s blueprint for the major expansion of a north-east village has been deferred.
Kirkwood Homes’ masterplan for Pitmedden had envisaged building 64 homes on Bonnyton Road in the village.
Members of Aberdeenshire Council’s Formartine area committee discussed the application at a meeting in Ellon on Tuesday.
Councillors raised concerns regarding potential access points to the site and the impact it could have on the B999.
A motion was put forward by Councillor Isobel Davidson to approve the masterplan, stating that it was up to the developer to prove it could deliver on access points to the homes.
