A dementia charity is celebrating after receiving a £2,000 donation.
The Forget Me Not Club, based in Banchory, was handed the cash by Leys Group, the parent company of housing developer Bancon Homes.
Bancon Homes’ marketing manager Julie Goddard raised the cash while competing in a dance competition.
Julie and her partner were crowned the winners of the eighth annual Strictly Come Prancing event, pitting amateur dancers against each other.
Lesley Fletcher, the development manager of the Forget Me Not Club, said: “We are, once again, truly humbled by the help and support we have received and how everyone involved, from sponsors to dancers, throw themselves into Strictly, all giving 110%.
“We know the extraordinary difference the work at Forget Me Not makes to people’s lives.
“This drives our commitment to providing support and improving services for people living with dementia and making sure there is fun and laughter every day at the centre.”
