A business owner whose shop was all but destroyed by flooding is celebrating the reopening of her store.
Footprint in Aboyne was one of several premises flooded in Station Square as a result of Storm Frank in January. But, with the help of local councillors and volunteers, including Aboyne Rotary Club, owner Ruth Punyer has been able to save her business.
Councillor Geva Blackett and her colleagues were able to relocate Footprint, allowing the shop to keep trading.
Mrs Punyer said: “The community has really rallied together through this difficult time.”
