A CYCLIST has been taken to hospital after being knocked down by a car.
The incident happened at around 7.50am on Malcolm Road at the junction with the B979 North Deeside Road.
The injured man, who is in his 50s, was taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary, and is believed to have suffered chest and arm injuries.
A Police Scotland spokeswoman said: “We were made aware of the incident by the Scottish Ambulance Service.
“The cyclist is being taken to ARI but we don’t believe the injuries are life-threatening.
“We believe it could be a possible broken rib.
“It is possible we may need some traffic management in the area.”
