
TWO men attacked a cyclist on an Aberdeen road.
The cyclist, a 65-year-old man, was hit on the head and fell off his bike.
He suffered facial injuries and was taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary.
The incident happened at 10pm last Tuesday on Great Northern Road.
Pc Lorcan Thame, of Aberdeen Division’s Alcohol and Violence Reduction Unit, said: “This was an unprovoked and cowardly assault on a man who was cycling on Great Northern Road close to its junction with Barron Street, Aberdeen.
“He was approached by two men and struck on the head which caused him to fall off his bike.
“It was an upsetting incident for the man and I would appeal for anyone with information or who saw anything to contact us.”
The two men involved are both described as being aged between 18 and 35 and both were approximately 5ft 10ins tall.
The first man was described as being of average build, with short blonde hair and was wearing a white or light grey hooded top, light denim jeans and light coloured trainers.
The second man was described as being of slim build.
