Crews called to gorse fire at Aberdeen golf club

Fire crews were called to deal with a blaze at an Aberdeen golf course last night.

Nine firefighters were sent to the scene at the Royal Aberdeen Golf course at 10pm to deal with two separate fires.

A spokesman for the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service: “We were called to two seats of fire at the Royal Aberdeen Golf Club at 10.01pm.

“Two crews both from North Anderson Drive were sent to the scene and used a hose reel jet and beaters.

“One of the fires measured approximately 20×10 metres and the other was 50×20 metres.

“The stop message was received at 10.51pm.”
