Fire crews called back to Aberdeen nature reserve blaze

A fire crew was called again to an Aberdeen nature reserve after a blaze reignited.

Firefighters from the Altens station were sent to the Kincorth hill side of the Gramps this morning at 5.30am.

A blaze measuring approximately 50×20 metres was tackles by the crew.

The fire is the fifth time crews have been called to the area in six days.

A spokesman for the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service said: “It has reignited following the fire on Sunday.

“The fire is on the Kincorth hill side and is around 50×20 metres.

“A crew used backpack sprayers and beaters to tackle it and they left the scene at 7am.”
