A north-east youngster has won a prize for her school by getting creative.
Children from across the north-east were challenged to design a road safety banner in a contest organised by speed awareness charity Brake, and the winner was Toni Gibbons, 11, who attends Fetterangus School.
To reward Toni for her creative skills, her school has been presented with a road safety banner featuring her design to be displayed outside on the street.
She was also given a trophy and her classmates handed 30 high-visibility drawstring bags.
The youngster said she was “delighted with her success”.
Dennis D’Arcy, of Recognition Express, which supplied the bags, said: “The banners in this contest are always fantastic.
“We are sure Toni’s banner will encourage people to think more about road safety, especially those on two wheels.”
