A man has been fined for having more ammunition for a firearm than allowed.
Colin Stevenson, 51, admitted having 850 rounds of .22 calibre ammunition, in excess of a certificate issued allowing him to have 600 rounds. The offence took place on January 16.
Stevenson’s defence agent Les Green said his client used the firearm for occasional target practice and having excess ammunition was an “oversight on his part”.
Stevenson, whose address was given as Malento, Cairnie, Huntly, was fined £400.
