Murder accused denies ‘plan’ to hurt Aberdeen oil worker ex

A woman accused of murdering a former boyfriend told a court she did not see him on the night of the fatal incident.

Tasmin Glass, 20, said she went to meet Aberdeen oil worker Steven Donaldson at a car park in Kirriemuir, in Angus, but he was not there.

She said she earlier asked co-accused Steven Dickie if he would speak to Mr Donaldson if she and her former boyfriend started to argue. She said he told her he would if she needed him to.

Her counsel Mark Stewart QC asked if she had asked Dickie to speak to Mr Donaldson when she went to meet him. She said: “No, because Steven Donaldson was not there.”

Glass told the High Court in Edinburgh: “I have never been involved in violence.” She said she had never gone through “a third party” to inflict violence.

Glass, Dickie and a second man, Callum Davidson, 24, all of Kirriemuir, deny murdering Mr Donaldson between June 6 and 7 last year.

Mr Stewart also asked Glass: “It is suggested, I think, you formed a plan with Mr Dickie and or Mr Davidson, both of them, either of them, to do harm by way of violence to Steven Donaldson on June 6.

“Standing there, in front of his family, your family, this jury, did you do that?”. She replied: “No, I didn’t.”

The trial continues.
