A north-east man has appeared in court after police seized around £2,000 worth of heroin in Aberdeen.
Stuart Stephen, 49, appeared in private at Aberdeen Sheriff Court in connection with the recovery in the Guild Street area.
Stephen, of Peterhead, faces charges of intentionally obstructing someone carrying out a search for evidence and being concerned in the supply of drugs.
He made no plea and the case against him was continued for further examination. Stephen was remanded in custody and expected to appear again within the next week.
Meanwhile, a second north-east man also appeared in relation to another separate drugs matter.
Michael McIntosh, 31, appeared at Aberdeen Sheriff Court and pled not guilty to a total of five charges.
He is alleged to have produced and been concerned in the supply of cannabis, and been in possession of cocaine and cannabis resin.
McIntosh, of Mameulah Crescent, Newmachar, is also charged with owning an air pistol.
A date was fixed for a preliminary hearing in August and McIntosh was released on bail.
