A couple stole clothes from an Aberdeen store – only for the goods to be discovered in a car boot before they left the shopping centre.
Kelly Green, 38, and Declan Paxton, 25, admitted taking the items from Zara in Union Square on November 7.
Fiscal Depute Felicity Merson said the car was searched for stolen property and clothes and foil-lined bags were found in the boot.

She added: “The accused Paxton was spotted on CCTV carrying a large shopping bag and entering a nearby cinema. Police went into the particular screen and he stood up and stated ‘it’s me you are looking for’.”
Defence agent Michael Burnett said Paxton, of Brassey Street, Glasgow, had issues with alcohol and committed the offences to fund that, while Green, of Drumchapel Road, Glasgow, his partner, had been driving as he was disqualified.
Sheriff Ian Wallace handed them both 100 hours of unpaid work.
