Plans for a new neighbourhood in the North-east’s biggest village are expected to be approved by councillors next week.
Property firm Colaren Homes has lodged proposals to build 100 new homes on the outskirts of Mintlaw as part of the Northwoods development.
The plans have been reviewed and recommended for approval when councillors meet in Peterhead on Tuesday.
The application from Colaren Homes includes 54 three-bedroom properties, 43 homes with four bedrooms and three five-bedroom houses.
Land has also been earmarked for affordable housing later in the development. Planning permission has been granted for 86 homes and the necessary access roads to the site.
In a report to Buchan area committee, local authority infrastructure chief Stephen Archer said the land on the northern boundary of the village has already been allocated for housing and the plans meet council policy.
