Plans for a major new residential development in Aberdeen are set to be scrutinised by councillors this week.
A proposal of application notice was submitted to Aberdeen City Council in June for the development of 60 homes and 1,225sqm of shops and business space in Milltimber.
The site of the proposed development, just south of North Deeside Road near Milltimber School, is currently fields.
The plans, lodged by Bancon Homes, have been met by strong opposition from residents in the area, who say the work would ruin the views from their homes.
Councillors will get the chance to quiz officers on the proposals and also to identify any relevant issues which they would like the applicant to consider and address in any future application.
A report into the application stated the impact the development would have on the surrounding landscape would be identified at the detailed application stage.
The pre-application forum will meet on Thursday to discuss the application.
