Aberdeen City Council is looking at ways of giving extra support to jobseekers in Middlefield, Woodside, Tillydrone, Torry and Seaton.
According to a new council report, some jobseekers responded to a council consultation by saying there is a “lack of knowledge and signposting about available services”.
To change that, the council and other organisations have been running a pilot project in Seaton, in which jobseekers have been learning about confidence building, interview skills, writing CVs and starting businesses.
The report said: “If successful, it could be rolled out to other areas.”
Members of the council’s city growth and resources committee will meet to consider the report on Tuesday.
The pilot launched on October 5 and will be approaching its conclusion by the time the committee meets.
