A contraflow was to be in place from tonight so work can be carried out on the Aberdeen bypass.
Part of the busy A90 at Blackdog will be down to one lane in both directions so scaffolding can be dismantled.
The contraflow was to be in place from 8pm tonight until 6am on Monday.
A temporary 40mph speed restriction will be in operation during that time.
A Transport Scotland spokesman said: “The removal of the scaffolding from this structure is a sign of progress at this location, but we need to remind road users that works are still under way and road workers will still be working either alongside or on the new bridge.”
