A local authority has appointed a new contractor to complete work on a multi-million pound project.
Morrison Construction has been chosen by Aberdeenshire Council to carry out the Saltoun Square project in Fraserburgh.
Work to transform the council chambers and former police station was stopped when AD Walker went into administration.
Once finished, the building will be known as the Faithlie Centre and is a key project of the Fraserburgh 2021 regeneration scheme.
Chairman of the Banff and Buchan area committee Councillor Andy Kille said: “This project means a lot to the people of Fraserburgh and when the committee met to discuss this, we all understood why it was so important.
“The project will create a focal point for the community and we look forward to seeing work get under way.”
