A woman claims her street has been left in a state of “pandemonium” by contractors amid a string of home renovations.
A total of 12 residents in Fraser Place, Kemnay, have been disrupted by ongoing works.
The houses are owned by Aberdeenshire Council, which last year contracted Robertsons to re-wire the properties.
However, complaints have been lodged that the work is overrunning, leaving people homeless for weeks at a time.
Yvonne Barnett, pictured, who lives on the street, said: “We were told work would begin in April and we’re still waiting.
“The most annoying thing is the lack of communication. I’m sitting with boxes packed and I’m having to unpack them.”
Aberdeenshire Council’s head of property Allan Whyte said: “Work is completed by the same contractor and tenants will be able to remain in their home unless there are extenuating circumstances. Tenants were contacted again and given 21 days’ notice of their start date.”
