A curry contest is heating up after attracting more restaurant nominations than ever before.
A total of 164 premises are in the running for gongs at Aberdeen’s Best Curry Awards.
It is now up to the public to vote for their favourite to ensure the best come out on top and avoid any argy-bhaji.
Organiser Sumon Hoque said: “It’s just been ridiculous, it’s been a massive number.
“About 90% of those invited have been nominated so it’s been huge.
“From them we have to pick our finalists, so it’s important to go out and vote for your favourite.
“Don’t take it for granted, otherwise there could be some upsets.”
There are 15 accolades up for grabs, including those for restaurants, takeaways and individual chefs. There’s even an award for your favourite supermarket curry.
The voting period closes on Friday, October 14.
