Plans for a caravan site have been withdrawn after 13 people formally objected.
John Wink Design applied for permission on behalf of Philip Stewart, who owns the Stewartfield Caravan Park.
The application asked for permission to site 10 static caravan pitches on land at Potarch near Banchory, alongside the Deeside Way.
The well-used tourist route runs from the centre of Aberdeen to Ballater.
It is famous for its Victorian heritage and links to Balmoral Castle, following the Old Royal Deeside Railway.
But people objected to the proposed site claiming it would have a negative impact on the view from the B993 road towards Potarch Bridge.
Birse and Ballogie Community Council also formally objected.
However two people did formally support the application.
One, Amanda Fyfe, of Portlethen, said: “I frequently holiday in this area and the more facilities available to the public to use can only be a good thing.”
