A North-east nursery that could have faced closure has passed its latest inspection.
The Care Inspectorate has said an enforcement notice placed on the Peek-a-Boo Nursery in Fraserburgh – putting its registration at risk – is no longer in force.
Concerns were raised about the protocols in place to safeguard youngsters after a toddler was injured at the Buchan Road nursery during the last 12 months.
But in a letter to the nursery, inspection team manager Kim Connolly said of staff: “They demonstrated a good knowledge of the signs and symptoms of possible abuse, factors that could make children more vulnerable to abuse, possible signs of abuse within the nursery setting and the procedures to follow in the event of any concerns.”
A spokesperson for Peek-a-Boo Nursery said: “We are delighted that after a follow-up inspection the Care Inspectorate has acknowledged significant improvements in the service we provide and that our registration will continue.”
