Aberdeen City Council has written to the Transport Minister seeking clarity over the timescale for works to a notorious roundabout.
Councillor Ross Grant, the council’s transport spokesman, has contacted Humza Yousaf asking for more information following an admission this week that the Aberdeen bypass is delayed until autumn 2018.
A Transport Scotland spokesman said: “Progress continues to be made on the A90/A96 Haudagain Improvement Project.
“Procurement of the main contractor reached a key stage earlier this month with the bidders shortlisted to participate in the final stage.
“The main construction work is well on track to get under way following the opening of the AWPR and significant preparation works have already been undertaken on site.
“This will allow the construction work to progress without delay once the contract is awarded.”
