Aberdeen airport’s new accessible toilet has been recognised by an official body.
Changing Places, which supports people with profound and multiple learning difficulties, has recognised the facility in Aberdeen International Airport’s departure lounge.
The facility, installed as part of the airport’s £20 million terminal transformation project, includes a height-adjustable bench, electronic hoist, non-slip floor and privacy screens.
Kevin Douglas, terminal operations manager at the airport, said: “We want to make travel as seamless and safe as possible for our passengers, and the Changing Places room will make a huge difference to those who find travel a challenge.”
The airport was recently awarded a “very good” rating by the CAA in its latest Accessibility Report.
