An Aberdeen children’s hospital charity is set to benefit from the support of a ferry company.
The ARCHIE Foundation has been chosen by NorthLink Ferries to receive the proceeds of fundraising efforts taking place on the company’s three boats, MV Hamnavoe, MV Hrossey and MV Hjaltland.
The fundraising organisation is the official charity of the Royal Aberdeen Children’s Hospital and funds specialist staff, advanced medical equipment and emergency grants to support families.
Staff at the ferry firm have already taken part in ARCHIE’s Big Cake Week and will compete against each other in the charity’s Virtual Challenge in September.
Jamie Smith, Regional fundraising manager at The ARCHIE Foundation, said: “We are thrilled to be working in partnership with NorthLink Ferries to support this.
“We would like to say a huge thank you to all the NorthLink Ferries staff and customers for their fundraising efforts to date, and wish them the best of luck with their activities.”
