A North-east charity is hosting an open day event in Aberdeen tomorrow to mark World Cancer Day.
CLAN Cancer Support is highlighting the variety of services it provides to those who may not be aware of the support available for anyone affected by cancer.
Representatives from the Aberdeen-based charity’s children and family services team and wellbeing services will be available to answer questions from visitors. In addition, Information about how to volunteer will also be available at the event which is held from 10am to noon.
Dr Colette Backwell, chief executive of CLAN, said: “The theme for World Cancer Day is ‘we can, I can’ which reflects CLAN well.
“We, as a charity, can help give people the support and tools they need as they navigate a cancer diagnosis.
“We would like to invite anyone affected by cancer in any way to come along.
“They can join us for a coffee and find out a bit more about how we can help and also how people can help us through volunteering.”
