A CHARITY today branded the theft of one of its donation tins as “disgusting”.
The SensationALL charity tin was taken from the Hazlehead Store in Aberdeen.
Rebecca McCarn, volunteer co-ordinator at SensationALL said: “It is so worrying that someone would take a charity tin, which helps adults and children with multiple and complex disabilities. Taking money from a charity is disgusting.”
Rebecca believes around £100 was in the tin at the time of the theft.
She added: “Although it was not a huge amount of money, it is more worrying that someone would decide to steal from a charity.”
Uday Bhaskar, owner of Hazlehead Store in Hazlehead Crescent, said: “It was very surprising to find out someone had stolen the charity tin. This is a nice community and you don’t expect anyone to steal, especially a charity tin.”
A Police Scotland spokeswoman confirmed the theft had been reported.
