A north-east charity has launched its annual fundraising cycle ride.
Kayleigh’s Wee Stars (KWS), based in Oldmeldrum, will host the charity challenge on October 6.
Participants can choose from a distance of 20, 57 or 95 miles in Deeside to raise funds.
The 95-mile ride, nicknamed Kayleigh’s Big Star, will include a climb up the Cairn o’ Mount, near Ballater.
Those taking part will also be invited for recovery drinks, stovies and an open folk music session in the Deeside Inn hotel bar from 7.30pm onwards.
The charity, founded by Jonathan and Anna Cordiner, was started in 2012 after the death of their two-year-old daughter Kayleigh from an atypical teratoid rhabdoid tumour, a type of terminal brain tumour.
The couple set the charity up in order to provide financial support to other families in need.
