A public consultation is expected to begin later this month to gather views on new school holiday dates across Aberdeenshire.
The current pattern of school holidays was approved by councillors in May 2014, covering from 2014-15 to 2019-20.
A proposed consultation will run from Monday March 25 until Monday May 6 with parents, pupils and staff over proposed term dates, school holidays and in-service closures.
The public will be consulted on proposed dates for the five sessions from 2020 to 2025.

The term would begin on August 17 under the new proposals.
Councillors will be asked to approve a consultation when they meet on Thursday.
