Police have released a CCTV image of a man they want to trace in connection with an unprovoked Aberdeen assault and robbery.
The incident happened on Union Street, near to Diamond Street, shortly after 4.20am on Friday, November 10, 2017.
A 26-year-old man was assaulted and received treatment at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary for serious but not life-threatening injuries.
He also had personal items, including cash, taken.
Detective Sergeant Rhona Di Meola, who has been leading the investigation, said: “I would appeal to anyone who recognises the person in this image to please contact us as soon as possible.
“This was an unprovoked incident which had the potential for far more serious consequences. I would ask anyone with information to please contact Police on 101 using reference number CF0324381117 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111 to remain anonymous.”
