Staff at a north-east after-school club are respectful and caring towards children, inspectors said.
The Care Inspectorate visited Stonehaven After School Club at Stonehaven Community Education Centre on Bath Street, on February 19 and has now published its report.
The club can look after up to 60 school-aged children, and inspectors rated it “good” for care and support – the third best of six possible ratings.
“Children were supported well by staff who were respectful, caring and supported their wellbeing,” said the report.
It added: “Staff knew the individual needs and personalities of children well and used this to adapt their approaches to the care and support provided for each child. Interactions were kind and compassionate.”
One parent told inspectors: “The club is a fab facility – fun, entertaining and extremely supportive. The children are all included and valued.”
