A councillor wants a decision to be made over whether trees will be replaced on an Aberdeen street.

The trees were removed from Cheyne Road in Old Aberdeen’s conservation area last August because they were on the Great Aberdeen Run course.

Old Aberdeen ward councillor Alexander McLellan said residents are upset that they have not been replanted.

He has tabled a motion calling for Aberdeen City Council’s communities, housing and infrastructure committee to rule on whether the trees will be replaced or not.

The committee is to consider the motion when it meets at the Town House at 2pm on Tuesday.
