Aberdeen bypass work to close road for nine weeks

A section of a North-east road is to close for nine weeks as part of the Aberdeen bypass work.

An unnamed road on the Fishermyre to Clayfolds route, north of Stonehaven on the B979 near Coneyhatch farm, will shut from Monday so finishing connections between the new and existing roads can take place.

When the road reopens it will allow drivers to travel under the Aberdeen Western Peripheral Route.

A Transport Scotland spokesman said: “This closure of the Fishermyre to Clayfolds Road is necessary to enable the contractor to carry out finishing works, while enhancing the safety of road users.”
