Three people have been taken to hospital following a three vehicle collision on a busy North-east road.

The A90 has been closed north of Balmedie following the incident at the B977.

A Police Scotland spokesman said: “We received the call at 6.03pm of a three vehicle collision between two cars and a van.

“There are three people who have been taken to hospital to be checked over but there is nothing to suggest this is a serious incident.

“The road is closed in both directions just now while we await the recovery of the vehicles.”
